Declaration pursuant to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation

Information on Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)

The “REACH” Regulation stipulates that all chemical substances manufactured in quantities exceeding one ton per year may only be placed on the market in the European Union if they have been registered in advance.

horizont group gmbh does not manufacture “substances” as defined by this Regulation.

We manufacture and sell products that are defined as “articles” rather than as “substances” or ‘mixtures’ in accordance with TITLE I, CHAPTER 2, Article 3 (Definitions) of the “REACH” Regulation. As a “downstream user,” horizont group gmbh is not subject to the obligation to register “substances.”

As part of our management system, we ensure that the so-called “Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern” (SVHC) of the “ECHA” (European Chemicals Agency) is regularly checked for updates and compared with the materials we use.

We always check and comply with the restrictions on use in accordance with “Annex XVII” during the development process. If we discover that our products contain “substances” from the ‘SVHC’ list with a mass fraction requiring information in accordance with “Article 33,” we actively fulfill this obligation to provide information.

To the best of our knowledge, we confirm that the “articles” manufactured by horizont group gmbh do not contain any ‘substances’ from the “SVHC” list as of January 21, 2025, in critical mass proportions. However, should this occur, we will actively inform our customers.

In our own interest and that of our customers, horizont group gmbh also maintains a hazardous substances register, in which the annual quantities of chemicals and hazardous substances used are recorded and continuously updated.
